
Greg Burgess
Chief Operating Officer
Greg Burgess serves as chief operating officer at AGAR. He has current oversight of sales, human resources, and information technology as well as leadership responsibilities for procurement and operations at AGAR. He works very closely with the entire senior management team to build strategies for future growth, critical to AGAR’s success in the wholesale food distribution industry.
Burgess, previously executive vice president of sales, finance & administration has been at AGAR since 2000. He has overseen several functions and has proven to be vital to AGAR’s growth and stability. His roles in finance at AGAR include VP finance & administration as well as controller when he arrived at AGAR. While Burgess has a deep background in finance, he has been responsible for helping to build the AGAR sales team and work in tandem with senior management to develop strategies that have kept AGAR on a steady path of growth.
Burgess has spent an entire career in finance. Before coming to AGAR Mr.
Burgess worked at TACC International Corp., Mitek Products, Ethicon, the
Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Department of Revenue. He earned a BS in Business
Administration from Northeastern University with a concentration in accounting
as well as being a member of the Golden Key National Honor Society.
