AGAR Announces Fall Food Shows

 

Taunton, MA: July 25, 2008:

Who: AGAR, New England’s largest independent broadline food distributor
What: AGAR will host two annual New England food shows this coming September, 2008

Where: On September 9 AGAR will host their annual food show geared toward Foodservice & Retail Customers at Twin Rivers located at 100 Twin River Road, Lincoln, RI.

On September 16 AGAR will host their food show for foodservice clients at the Sheraton Ferncroft in Danvers located at 50 Ferncroft Road in Danvers, MA

When: Hours for both the Twin Rivers Show and the Danvers Show are from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
 

Background:
Over 100 vendors in the AGAR network will have a presence at both Food Shows. Vendors will be featuring products including Beef, Seafood, Pork, Lamb, Poultry as well as Non-Foods, Dry & Frozen Grocery items. The food show is open to any AGAR customer as well as anyone looking to AGAR for future food distribution needs. Mostly independent restaurant operators and foodservice operators are registered to attend AGAR’s food shows. Many will be looking to AGAR to help them provide profitable solutions to counter the historic rise in food costs.

More Solutions:
This past fall, AGAR announced that they appointed veteran Boston area Chef Jeffrey Merry to take on the role of corporate executive chef. Merry a Natick Mass resident will work closely with independent restaurant operators to help them with menu solutions and cost-cutting resolutions to
assist them in becoming more profitable. Chef merry will be conducting several demonstrations during these shows.
