Szechuan Cuisine or Sichuan Cuisine is a spicy selection of foods that has it origins in the Sichuan province of western China. The best known Szechwan dishes include Kung Pao Chicken and Twice Cooked Pork. Chili pepper is the common ingredient used to spice up Szechuan cuisine however. Beijing House Restaurant in Norwell, offers Hunan, Szechuan, and Beijing menus. CHEF CHENG cooks with a new emphasis on healthy cooking using canola oil and low calorie ingredients. Try the Mi-Tze Honey Chicken with strips of chicken, onion, peppers, prepared in honey sauce served with bean noodles, and the Beef Mongolian with Tender beef with scallions and onions in a mild Mondoglian sauces served on a platter. The seafood flower basket has fresh scallops, shrimp, lobster, imitation crab meat, and mixed vegetables sauteed in a white sauce set on a bed of shredded potatos. The Dragon and Phoenix has two dishes in one using chunks of chicken and lobster sauteed in white sauce and hunan sauce.
